Here are indoor-friendly spots near Tameike-Sanno Station.
Welcome to the Art Triangle!
Akasaka, Roppongi, and Toranomon are well connected by the Tokyo Metro.
Many major complexes have direct underground access from nearby stations,
so you can stay indoors for much of your route on rainy days.
(Shrines are outdoors—bring a small folding umbrella.)

Roppongi Hills
Mostly Indoors (Connected Walkways)
A city within a city. Shopping, Cinema, Observation Deck, and Restaurants are connected by indoor passages. You can easily spend a whole day here without getting wet.
Toranomon Hills
One Stop on Ginza Line
The new landmark of Tokyo. Visit “T-Market” for trendy food options. From Tameike-Sanno, it’s just one stop on the Ginza Line (to Toranomon), then a short walk (or a quick taxi ride).
Tokyo Midtown
High-End Atmosphere
Sophisticated atmosphere with the indoor Galleria and great art options, including the Suntory Museum of Art inside Tokyo Midtown. If the rain eases, the Midtown Garden is also worth a quick stroll.
Rainy Day Tip:
This neighborhood is rainy-day friendly—many stations and complexes have underground access, so you can stay dry for most of your route.

Main Building is Indoor
The “Geihinkan” is a magnificent neo-Baroque palace. The main building interior is open to the public (ticket required). Please check the schedule on their website before visiting.
Toyokawa Inari
Just a short walk from our studio
Known for hundreds of fox statues. Even in the rain, the lanterns and statues create a mystical Japanese atmosphere.
Hie Shrine
Covered Escalator Access
Features a beautiful tunnel of red Torii gates. Walking through them in the quiet rain is a special, serene experience. The access from the street involves escalators which is helpful.
